Annapolis Symphony Orchestra Violinist

William Wang is a passionate violinist and dedicated educator based in the DMV area. With over ten years of teaching experience, William is deeply committed to fostering a love for music in each of his students. His teaching philosophy focuses on nurturing not just technical proficiency, but also a genuine passion and curiosity for the violin. Whether working with beginners or advanced students, he tailors his approach to suit individual needs, helping them build confidence, discipline, and musicality.

Originally from Philadelphia, he studied with Irving Ludwig and Juliette Kang of the Philadelphia Orchestra. A graduate of the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University, William studied under the guidance of esteemed violinist Qing Li, principal second violin of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. William is currently a member of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and has an extensive background in orchestral performance. In addition to his orchestral work, William is a committed chamber musician. He frequently performs with Apollo Chamber Music and the Baltimore Chamber Players in concerts and events in the greater DMV area.

 

His extensive background as both a performer and a teacher allows him to bring a wealth of experience into his lessons, providing students with a well-rounded education in violin technique, performance, and musical interpretation.
